Cabin 1: The View features one of the most spectacular views in Southern Illinois. Sit on your porch swing and enjoy the abundant wildlife and sounds of nature. This cabin has a full kitchen, livingroom with real fireplace, HDL TV, cathedral ceilings, three bedrooms, two full baths, an extra bunk bed in the downstairs bedroom, (sleeps 8) and a laundry room for those staying a while. All of the beds have sheets, pillows, blankets, and bedspreads; baths have plush towels, shampoo, soap, and the kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, silverware, dishes, glasses, knives, toaster, microwave, coffee pot, dish soap, barbeque equipment for the outdoor gas grill, and more.
The cabin has two levels. The upstairs level has the kitchen, livingroom, TV, fireplace, bath and two bedrooms (one full, one queen). The downstairs has one large bedroom with a queen size bed and a bunk bed, TV, full bath, laundry room.Both floors feature a porch, overlooking the awesome view.
The beginnings of a trail, into the 20 wooded acres, begins next to The View, and, in the Winter and early Spring, joins a walking path (Quetil Trail), at the bottom of the property that takes you into Alto Pass.
The View is decorated with local art that is for sale. There are items such as, paintings, photographs, weavings, pottery, blown glass, large outdoor sculptures and more.
